Hello and welcome back to Dogtober! Today we have our first Pokémon on the list, Growlithe! I wanted to spice it up and make specifically the Hisuian Growlithe from the new game that's on it's way. He's a tiny little fella only 8cm long not including his tail. Please forgive me for lack of photos, I forgot to take photos of the rest of the pieces 🤦♀️. Anyways, I hope you enjoy!
As always my patterns are written with US terms.
- Orange, white and cream medium weight yarn.
- Crochet hook (3.25mm)
- Yarn needle
- Fabric Glue
- Black permanent marker
- Black, white and pink felt.
Body:
In orange.
1: MR (6)
2: INC x6 (12)
3: (1SC, INC) x6 (18)
4: 2SC, INC x6 (24)
5: SC24 (24)
6: PC, SC5, PC, SC17 (24)
7-9: SC24 (24)
10: PC, SC5, PC, SC17 (24)
11: SC24 (24)

13: (1SC, DEC) x6 (12)
Stuff
14: DEC x6 (6)
Finish off and close up.
Chest piece:
In white.
1: Make 3 separate MR of 6, do not finish off on the last one.
2: Working from the last MR SL, INC, loop into the second MR, INC x2, loop into the last MR and INC, SL, CH1 turn.
3: DEC SC3 DEC CH1 turn.
4: HDC5, finish off.
Tail:
In white.
Make 2 pieces.
1: Make 2 MR of 6, do not finish off on the last one.
2: Working from MR, SL, INC, SC1, the INC, SC1 into the second ring then CH3
2: SC2, HDC3, DEC. CH1, SL, Finish off.
Joint both pieces together to make the tail.
Head:
In orange.

Assembly:
- Attach the head to body, with the MR side being the butt.
- Attach chest piece to front of body.
- Attach hair piece to head.
- Attach muzzle to front of face.
- Attach ears on top of hair.
- Attach tail to butt.
- Use black felt and glue stripes on back.
- Use pink and white felt to make a mouth and glue on.
- Use black felt for a nose and glue on.
- Make tiny white front claws out of felt and glue on.
- Draw on leg stripes and paw pads with black marker.
